10 day exhibition will be the center of attraction for the residents of the capital

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will inaugurate the Jagar-2024 ‘Handicrafts and Handlooms’ exhibition on Sunday, March 10 at the Chhattisgarh Haat complex located in Pandari in the capital Raipur. Like every year, this year also Jagar-2024 ‘Handicrafts and Handloom’ exhibition is being organized by Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board. This exhibition will remain the center of attraction for the people of the capital for 10 days. More than 120 stalls from 14 other states including Chhattisgarh have been set up in this exhibition.
This exhibition was inaugurated at 7 pm by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Culture Minister Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan, Health Minister Shri Shyambihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Mr. Tank Ram Verma, MP Mr. Sunil Soni and MLA Mr. Purandar Mishra will be in the dignified presence of special guests.
Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board said that in this exhibition the famous handicrafts of Chhattisgarh state are Bellmetal craft (Dhokra), Iron craft, Wood craft, Bamboo craft, Carpet craft, Shishal craft, Godna craft, Tuma craft, Terracotta craft, Chhind- Kosa sarees, dupattas, salwar suits, dress material and cotton bedsheets, bedsheets, dress material, serting and various types of Khadi readymade garments etc. are prominent among the brass craft and handloom textiles. Apart from this, chikankari of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Banarasi saree, etc. are prominent from other states. Dress material, Chanderi, Maheshwari sarees and tiger print dress material of Madhya Pradesh and brass statues of Tikamgarh, Jutework of West Bengal, including Kantha work and Bengali sarees, Phulkari and Punjabi juttis of Punjab, Mojri of leatherwork and embroidered salwars of Rajasthan. Suits, jewelery from Delhi, bedsheets from Panipat, Haryana, Kolhapuri slippers from Maharashtra, Bhagalpuri dress material from Bihar, shawls and sarees from Jammu and Kashmir. Thus, a huge collection of various crafts and handloom materials from a total of 14 states will be available, in which the craftsmen themselves have demonstrated their advanced skills. Will showcase-cum-sell craftsmanship skills.
The 10-day Jagar-2024 ‘Handicrafts and Handloom’ exhibition is being organized till March 19 at Chhattisgarh Haat Complex, Pandari, Raipur, in which a cultural program evening will also be organized from 7 pm to 9 pm every day. This exhibition will be open to the general public from 11 am to 9 pm.
