If the post of compassionate appointment is not vacant in the department of the deceased government servant, the applications will be forwarded to the Collector.
If there is no vacant post in the subordinate office of the Collector, the application will be forwarded to the Commissioner.
The decision has been taken on the special initiative of the Chief Minister, keeping in mind the interests of the applicants for compassionate appointments.
Revised instructions issued for compassionate appointment as per the decision of amendment in 2013, instructions issued by General Administration Department

In the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the General Administration Department, in prompt implementation of the decision taken to amend the Single Revised Instructions 2013 issued by the state government regarding compassionate appointment, made the amendment as per the decision of the cabinet. In this regard, instructions have been issued to all departments, Chhattisgarh Revenue Board, all department heads, all commissioners and all collectors.
It is noteworthy that in relation to giving compassionate appointment to the dependent family members of a government servant who died during his service period, unified revised instructions, 2013 have been issued by the state government through the referred circular and partial amendments have been made in it from time to time.
Regarding the amendment, instructions have been issued by the General Administration that on receipt of the application form forwarded to the Collector’s office, the District Collector will take action to provide compassionate appointment on the vacant post available for compassionate appointment in his subordinate office in his district. Will go.
If there is no vacant post available for compassionate appointment in any office in the district, the District Collector will send the applicant’s compassionate appointment application form along with a certificate to the effect to his Divisional Commissioner’s office and the applicant will be informed about the same.
The Divisional Commissioner will forward the case to the concerned District Collector for further action on providing compassionate appointment in other districts under his jurisdiction, where the post is vacant, and the cases of compassionate appointment will be resolved by the Collector-Divisional Commissioners within the prescribed time limit.
District Collectors have been directed to send information about the vacancy in the posts marked for compassionate appointment in their subordinate offices to the Divisional Commissioner’s office from time to time and on receiving the compassionate appointment proposal, according to the vacancy in the posts, third or fourth class Action will be taken to give compassionate appointment to the posts. It has also been clarified that compassionate appointment is given by the government as immediate financial assistance to the dependent family of the deceased government servant, it is not necessary that appointment be given on the post as per the wish.
Therefore, ensure that the compassionate appointment cases of dependent members of deceased regular government servants are resolved within the stipulated time period.
