Foreign currency worth Rs 7 lakh has been recovered from a person in Raipur. He had cleverly hidden the notes in a bundle of cloth. So that no one has any doubt. But the police got wind of this. The matter is of Ganj police station area.

According to the information, during patrolling, the police had received information from the informer that Firoz, a resident of Surat, Gujarat, was staying in Ahir Dharamshala located near Lakhani Station Road. He looks suspicious. When the police interrogated him, a bundle of white cloth was found among the belongings.

Notes from many countries found in bundle

When the police opened the bundle, it contained around Rs 7 lakh foreign notes. This note is from America, Europe and Saudi Arabia. Most American dollars have been recovered. The accused also did not have valid documents related to these foreign notes. Police have arrested Firoz Lakhani.

Cases registered in 3 police stations

Cases have been registered against accused Firoz under sections like 420 in three different police stations of Raipur. All these police stations are Azad Chowk, Urla and Rajendra Nagar. It is being told that the accused’s son also faces similar allegations. At present the accused had reached Raipur for the hearing of one such case.
