Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has handed over the keys of their houses to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin of the district in the Chitrakote Mahotsav program. Now they will not need to live in kutcha houses. The families of Mrs. Juni Nag, husband Mr. Sukru and Mrs. Domini husband Mr. Somaru, residing in Gram Panchayat Babusemra under development block Jagdalpur, earlier lived in small kutcha houses. The housing was in a dilapidated condition and it was difficult to live there. The names of both these beneficiaries were included in the permanent waiting list of SECC 2011. They were given approval for housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. For the construction of the said house, the amount of Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand sanctioned from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin was directly transferred to his account through DBT in four installments, along with 95 days wage payment was also provided from MNREGA. At present, both the beneficiaries have completed the construction of the house and are living with their families in a permanent house.
