340 couples tied the knot under Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana

Regular air service from Jagdalpur to Hyderabad and Raipur will start from March 31. This will provide great convenience to the passengers taking advantage of air services. The government will take every possible step for the overall development of Bastar. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this today at the Chitrakot Mahotsav organized in Chitrakot in Bastar district. He started his address by congratulating the inauguration of Chitrakot Mahotsav organized in Chitrakot, the holy land of Maa Danteshwari. He said that this festival has been becoming grander for the last 14 years. I wish that the grandeur of this festival increases in the times to come. In the Chitrakote Mahotsav, in the presence of the Chief Minister, 340 couples got married under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. The Chief Minister blessed all the couples and wished a happy life for the new couples.
In the Mahotsav, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced Rs 2 lakh for the encouragement of proficient children in Malkhamb of Abujhmad and on the demand of local residents, Rs 5 lakh for Tirathgarh Mahotsav and proper development of Chitrakote.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 643 development works worth more than Rs 208 crore 32 lakh for all the districts of Bastar division in Chitrakote. These works include inauguration of 177 development works at a cost of Rs 104 crore 20 lakh 61 thousand and 466 development works at a cost of Rs 104 crore 11 lakh 65 thousand. He said tendupatta is called green gold by our forest dwellers, now we will buy it at Rs 5,500 per standard bag. Similarly, under the old system, Charan Paduka Yojana and scholarship scheme for the children of collector families will be continued.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government is committed to the development of Bastar. Our country’s famous Prime Minister Modi ji also keeps worrying about Surguja and Bastar and keeps asking about the development here. I came to know here that the government used to get Rs 10 lakh for this festival being organized for the last 14 years, our government has decided to increase it to Rs 15 lakh. Similarly, our government has decided to increase the amount of Rs 3 lakh which was given for Goncha festival to Rs 5 lakh and the amount of Rs 35 lakh given for the world famous Bastar Dussehra has been increased to Rs 50 lakh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government is going to be in power for two and a half months, in such a short time we have taken many important decisions and have taken steps towards fulfilling Modi ji’s guarantee. More than 18 lakh poor families were deprived of housing, we have sanctioned housing to them. We gave two-year outstanding paddy bonus of Rs 3716 crore to more than 12 lakh farmers. We fulfilled the promise made to the farmers. Rs. 3100 per quintal of paddy has been given to the farmers of the state and 21 quintals of paddy has been purchased per acre. This year, the maximum amount of 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased, the remaining amount will be sent to the accounts of 24 lakh 72 thousand farmers on March 12. Now married mothers and sisters will not have to wait much for Mahtari Vandan Yojana, money will come into the accounts of eligible beneficiaries in just two-four days. The Chief Minister said that today we have fulfilled the promise of another guarantee of Modi ji, Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Scheme.
