Rajnandgaon. Rajnandgaon City District Congress Committee demonstrated vigorously against the rising inflation across the country. During this time, the Congressmen reached Gol Bazaar of the city and bought vegetables and raised slogans against the Narendra Modi government at the Center and held the Narendra Modi government responsible for the rising inflation. During this, a placard was also seen in the hands in which Congress had written ‘Wow, Modi, your government… domestic cylinders crossed 900’.
Congress said that inflation is continuously increasing in the country. The prices of things which were low during the Congress rule have now become 10 times higher. During their demonstration, the Congressmen said that during the UPA government, LPG cylinder was available for Rs 450, but now it has crossed Rs 900.
During this protest organized against rising inflation, City District Congress Committee President Kulbir Singh Chhabra said that protests are being organized against the central government over rising inflation. The economic condition of people has deteriorated due to inflation. Modi government has no concern with the general public. Mayor Hema Deshmukh, who was involved in the protest, said that the Modi government had talked about reducing inflation in 100 days, but inflation is continuously increasing. There is a need to reduce inflation for the public good.
During this demonstration organized against the rising inflation, Congress reached Gol Bazaar of the city and protested against the Central Government for the rising inflation and appealed to the Center regarding the increase in the prices of various commodities including petrol, diesel, cooking gas, green vegetables. Fiercely surrounded the Modi government. During this demonstration, a large number of officials and workers of the City District Congress Committee including former Energy Minister Dhanesh Patil participated.
