Raipur, 1 March 2024

The state government has started giving Rs 1500 per month to the workers of the state under the Chief Minister Construction Workers Pension Assistance Scheme. Labor Minister cum Chairman Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan took this information by discussing with Mahasamund’s worker Chaitram on his mobile phone. Laborer Chaitram discussed with the Labor Minister and expressed his gratitude to the State Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the Labor Minister. Under the scheme, transfer of pension amount directly to the accounts of eligible construction workers has been started today.

It may be noted that under the “Chief Minister Construction Workers Pension Assistance Scheme” run by the Board, there is a provision to give a pension of Rs 1500 per month for life to those registered construction workers who have completed 60 years of age, if such pensioners are in the construction sector. In case of death of a worker, there is a provision to give a monthly pension of Rs 750 to the dependent (husband/wife) of the construction worker.

Similarly, for the children of construction workers, under “Chief Minister Free Coaching Assistance Scheme for the Children of Construction Workers”, the construction workers themselves or their dependent children are registered for the preparation of various competitive examinations conducted by Vyapam, PSC, Railway Recruitment Board, SSC etc. The scheme has been inaugurated and the contract has been signed today. Now there will be no shortage of education and employment for the children of any construction in the state.
