Labor Minister Co-Chairman Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board took charge today at Nava Raipur Division Headquarters office. After this, as per the wish of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, he launched the pension scheme for construction workers as per the wish of the government for the welfare of the workers and their better living. The scheme has been started today in which transfer of pension amount to the eligible construction workers directly into their accounts.
Under the “Chief Minister Construction Workers Pension Assistance Scheme” run by the Board, there is a provision to give a pension of Rs 1500 per month for life to those registered construction workers who have completed 60 years of age, if such pensioner construction workers who die In those circumstances, there is a provision to give a monthly pension of Rs 750 to the dependent (husband/wife) of the construction worker.
Similarly, for the children of construction workers, under “Chief Minister Free Coaching Assistance Scheme for the Children of Construction Workers”, the construction workers themselves or their dependent children are registered for the preparation of various competitive examinations conducted by Vyapam, PSC, Railway Recruitment Board, SSC etc. The scheme has been inaugurated and the contract has been signed today. Now there will be no shortage of education and employment for the children of any construction in the state.
On this occasion, Secretary of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Mrs. Savita Mishra, Additional Labor Commissioner, Mr. S.L. Jangade, Deputy Labor Commissioner, Mr. D.P. Tiwari, Deputy Labor Commissioner, Mr. S.S. Paikra, Deputy Director, Industrial Health and Safety Mr. Toshan Sahu, Senior Accounts Officer, Mr. Ramgopal Jaiswal, Korba Municipal Corporation Councilor Mr. Narendra Dewangan, Mr. Prafull Tiwari, Mr. Narendra Patanwar and other officers and employees of Workers Welfare Board were present.
