Many disabled people have benefited from the diagnosis program and their smiles have returned. Under the diagnostic program in Dhamtari district, a camp was organized and assistive devices, callipers, hearing aids and tricycles were provided to the disabled people. Many disabled people have benefited from this. Shri Divyang Devlal Sahu, resident of village Bhendri of Magarlod development block, said that the artificial leg fitted in the camp is very convenient, there is no problem in wearing it. Lakshmi Rajwade for organizing such meaningful diagnostic programs for the disabled.
Shri Devlal told that four years ago he had gone to his relative’s wedding procession, when a bus while reversing hit his right leg, due to which his knee bone was completely broken, and his leg had to be amputated. . He started feeling very helpless after his leg was amputated. Had to rely on others even for small tasks. There were problems in living also. Therefore, he opened a small shop in the village itself, which started fulfilling his daily needs and started concentrating on shopkeeping. He had difficulty in walking on one leg, so he got an artificial leg fitted at a nominal cost in Raipur. He had difficulty in walking as his leg was not very comfortable. Then an acquaintance informed about the diagnosis camp organized for the disabled. Shri Devlal reached the diagnostic camp. After getting the necessary tests done from the doctors in the camp, he reached Jaipur within a few hours. Due to which he is not facing any problem in walking.
