Ration card renewal work will be done till March 15

The work of renewal of all 77 lakh ration cards currently prevalent under the public distribution system in Chhattisgarh is going on. As of February 26, 67 lakh 59 thousand 591 ration card holders have submitted applications for renewal. The date for renewal work of the missing ration card holders has been extended till March 15, 2024 so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of the renewal work. People are taking advantage of the online facility provided by the Food Department and are submitting applications for renewal of ration cards through the Food Department’s app from their mobiles.
Under the Public Distribution System, the Anyodya, Priority, Destitute and Disabled APL ration cards of the eligible beneficiaries are being renewed. An app has been prepared by the Food Department for ration card holders. Beneficiaries can submit online applications through the app. Those beneficiaries who do not have the facility of Android mobile or have network problem can also go to the fair price shop and apply online.
It is noteworthy that the work of ration card renewal will be done till March 15, 2024. According to the information received from the department, a new mobile app of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department has been prepared by the Food Department for ration card renewal, it can be downloaded by going to the Play Store. It can be downloaded by the beneficiary from the website of the Food Department.
