The budget of the Chhattisgarh government for the financial year 2024-25 also shows a clear outline of the road map to make Chhattisgarh a developed and prosperous state. A strategy to promote the service sector has been included in the budget of Chhattisgarh government. The youth and entrepreneurs of the state will benefit from new emerging areas with potential like IT sector, health destination, eco-tourism circuit, wedding destination, business tourism, conference destination.

    The budget talks about welcoming investors in the state with an open mind to promote industries, for this there will be a policy of red carpet in place of red tape in the state. For the establishment of industries, work will be done on the policy of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’. Policies like ease of doing business, single window system, online permission, minimum permission will be implemented. Collaboration of experts from NITI Aayog and Indian Institutes of Management will be taken for public-private-partnership.

    According to the geographical characteristics of Chhattisgarh, work will be done on decentralized policy for economic development, for this decentralized development pockets will be established. A plan will also be prepared to develop Raipur, Bhilai and surrounding areas as state capital. These areas will be developed as world class IT sector, wedding destination, health destination. ‘Livelihood Center All Excellence’ will be established in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar and ‘Center of Entrepreneurship’ will be established in Durg district. Establishment of incubation center and BPO to encourage start-ups. And K.P.O. To attract I.T. Park will be established.

    The Chhattisgarh state budget talks about developing major cities like Raipur, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Bilaspur, Durg, Bhilai, Ambikapur, Jagdalpur, Korba and Raigarh as growth engines. Industrialization policy will be made as per the need in areas like Korba, Janjgir, Raigarh, Urla, Siltara. Agriculture-based development will be promoted in the plain agricultural districts. Special focus will be given to strengthen the rural economy.

    From the point of view of economic development in Bastar-Surguja region, meaningful initiatives will be taken to increase air connectivity. Efforts will be made to develop these areas as eco-tourism and naturopathy destinations. To promote tourism, five Shaktipeeths of the state will be developed from religious and tourism point of view. Industries will be established in Bastar region for processing minor forest produce. The possibilities of horticulture and fish farming will be encouraged in Surguja area. In this way, by making coordinated efforts, the economic potential of these areas will be materialized.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said on many occasions that we have resolved to strengthen the economy. Our aim is to make Chhattisgarh developed. We will work as per the roadmap prepared in the budget to fulfill the resolve of developed Chhattisgarh. Many provisions have been made in the budget to rapidly develop the state’s economy and achieve higher growth rate, capital expenditure has been increased in the state budget this year.
