Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually joined the program of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra organized in the capital Raipur and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 34 thousand 427 crore in the state. These include inauguration of 9 projects costing Rs 18 thousand 897 crore and laying of foundation stone of one project worth Rs 15 thousand 530 crore. In his address on this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that Chhattisgarh has a special contribution in the development of the country. The dream of developed India will be fulfilled only through developed Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister said that Chhattisgarh has hardworking farmers. They are talented youth and a treasure of nature. There is every possibility of development here. Today, the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 35 thousand crore related to the development of Chhattisgarh has been laid and inaugurated. These include many projects related to coal, solar energy and connectivity. This will create new employment opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh. Today NTPC’s 1600 MW Super Thermal Power Station has been dedicated to the nation. Along with this, the foundation stone of 1600 MW Stage 2 of this modern plant has also been laid. Through these plants, electricity will be available to the countrymen at low cost. We want to make Chhattisgarh a big center of solar energy. Today itself, very big solar plants have been inaugurated in Rajnandgaon and Bhilai. It has such a system that the people nearby will be able to get electricity at night.
The Prime Minister said that the way the double engine government in Chhattisgarh is fulfilling its guarantees is very praiseworthy. Two years’ outstanding bonus has been given to lakhs of farmers of Chhattisgarh. I had given a guarantee to increase the money of tendu leaf collectors. The double engine government has fulfilled this guarantee. The houses of the poor were not being built earlier. Now our government is working rapidly to build houses for the poor. The government is working rapidly towards completing the Har Ghar Jal Yojana. An inquiry has been ordered into the irregularities in the PSC examination. I congratulate the sisters of Chhattisgarh for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which will benefit lakhs of women. We demonstrate by doing what we say. Modi’s guarantee means guarantee of fulfillment of the guarantee.
Work on Modi’s guarantee is going on fast in Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Shri Sai
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai told in the program that as per the guarantee of Modi ji, the work of beautifying Chhattisgarh is going on at a fast pace. Modi ji had guaranteed the people of Chhattisgarh that when our government comes to power, it will establish good governance and bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of the citizens. In compliance with this, the government started implementing the guarantees of the Prime Minister from the very first day. Providing permanent housing to 18 lakh families, paying two years’ outstanding bonus to farmers, purchasing paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and Rs 21 quintal per acre, providing financial assistance of Rs 1,000 every month to married mothers and sisters. We have fulfilled many guarantees like starting Mahtari Vandan Yojana for. Our Prime Minister has set the goal of building a developed India before the country. To achieve this goal, Chhattisgarh is also ready to participate with full dedication. To achieve the goal of building ‘Developed India’, we have set ourselves the goal of building ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’. To unite the nation for innovation and to provide maximum benefits of government schemes to every citizen, ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ has started in Chhattisgarh from 16 December 2023.
Giving information about the achievements of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Chief Minister said that 1.25 crore people of the state participated in it, mothers and sisters also participated enthusiastically in it. Of these, more than 1 crore people also participated in the online resolution. During Sankalp Yatra, more than 66 lakh people got health check-up done in health camps, 55 lakh people got TB test done, 35 lakh people got sickle cell test done. 4 lakh 35 thousand Ayushman Bharat cards, 47 thousand credit cards, 10 thousand soil health cards and 45 thousand My Bharat volunteers have been registered. He said that for the welfare of 5 special backward tribes in Chhattisgarh, approval has been given for the construction of 333 roads with a length of 1180 kilometers costing Rs 847 crore 45 lakh. This will benefit 366 settlements of special backward tribes. Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister regarding the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, the Chief Minister said that 29 thousand 439 families have been identified under this scheme in Chhattisgarh. Of these, houses have been sanctioned to more than 15 thousand families. The first installment amount has also been paid to 13 thousand 188 families. Under the Lakhpati Didi scheme, a target has been set to make 7 lakh 82 thousand women of the state Lakhpati Didi.
The Chief Minister said that in today’s program the Prime Minister is inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 10 projects worth Rs 34 thousand 427 crore. Through these projects, our efforts to beautify Chhattisgarh will be strengthened and we will fulfill the dream of the Prime Minister of a developed India by making Chhattisgarh a developed Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also presented the amount of beneficiary-oriented schemes to the beneficiaries. On this occasion, School Education Minister Shri Brijmohan Agarwal and Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam also addressed. Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain was also present on this occasion. Along with this, Principal Secretary Mrs. Niharika Barik, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. P.
