Raipur Collector formed team for Lok Sabha elections: 72 officers have the responsibility of following the code of conduct; Election expenses will be accounted for

Raipur Collector has formed the team keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections 2024. This team will work towards following the Election Expenditure Monitoring- Model Code of Conduct. Different officers have been given responsibilities in different assemblies. These monitoring teams will work as per the election rules.

This responsibility has been given to a team of 72 officers working in different departments of Raipur district administration. These officers will do investigation and monitoring work in assembly constituencies like Baloda Bazar, Dharsiwa, Raipur Rural, Raipur City West, Raipur City North, Raipur City South, Arang, Abhanpur.

When will the code of conduct be implemented?
A letter from the Election Commission has indicated that voting dates can be fixed any time after April 16. This time elections can be held in April-May-June. Election dates can be announced by the end of March.

In 2019, the code of conduct was imposed on March 10.

Then elections were held in the country in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May. Now this time Holi is on 25th March. The examinations will be conducted till April. This time also the election dates can be announced by the end of March. Elections will be held at least 30 days after the implementation of the code of conduct.

Status of voters in the state:
Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh Reena Baba Saheb Kangale said that this time 2 crore 5 lakh 13 thousand 252 voters will vote on 11 seats of the Lok Sabha elections. There are 1 crore 1 lakh 80 thousand 405 male voters in this. There are 1 crore 3 lakh 32 thousand 115 women voters and 732 third gender voters. 24,109 polling stations will be set up in the Lok Sabha elections.
