Half day state mourning declared in Chhattisgarh

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has paid tribute to the national saint Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Maha Muniraj ji on his becoming a Brahmin. The Chief Minister has said that the contribution of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj to the country and society will be remembered for ages.
He has said that the news of the samadhi of the world revered and national saint Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Mahamuniraj ji was received with full gratitude at Chandragiri Teerth in Dongargarh. Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, who enriched the country and the world including Chhattisgarh with his dynamic knowledge, will be remembered for ages for his remarkable work, sacrifice and penance for the country and society. I bow down to the feet of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar ji, a bundle of spiritual consciousness.
Half-day state mourning has been declared in Chhattisgarh today by the state government in honor of Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj ji of the world famous Digambar Jain saint tradition, known as Vardhaman of the present day. During this period, the national flag will remain at half mast and state functions and programs will not be organised.
