Raipur. The issue of organizing a fair in Bastar under government funds was raised in the Assembly on Friday. Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal said that Dussehra of Bastar is unique in the whole world. Rs 35 lakh is given for this, but in the coming time an amount of Rs 50 lakh will be given. Apart from this, Rs 15 lakh will be given for Ramaram Mahotsav and Chitrakote Mahotsav. BJP MLA Kiran Singhdev asked in the House how many fairs and madai are organized in Bastar. On this, Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal said that in the previous BJP government itself, arrangements had been made to give funds for the fair stall. Funds are made available for Chitrakote Mahotsav, Ramaram Mahotsav and Dussehra Mahotsav.

On this, Kiran Singhdev termed the amount being received as inadequate and asked whether the government would give more amount. On this, Brijmohan Aggarwal, while giving information about increase in the amount given for Dussehra Mahotsav along with Ramaram Mahotsav and Chitrakot Mahotsav, announced to give an amount of Rs 5 lakh instead of Rs 3 for Goncha festival.
