So far, the state government has purchased a record 144.92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from farmers at support price. Along with paddy procurement, continuous lifting of paddy is going on for custom milling. Till now, DO has been issued for lifting of 118 lakh 93 thousand 551 metric tons of paddy, against which 105 lakh 76 thousand 891 metric tons of paddy has been lifted by the millers. According to the information received from the General Manager of Markfed, till now 144 lakh 92 thousand 96 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 24 lakh 72 thousand 440 farmers in the state till 04 February 2024 at support price.
