Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, formed during the Congress rule in Chhattisgarh, has been dissolved. Sports Minister Tankram Verma said that a provision of Rs 132 crore was made for the club. Out of this, Rs 126 crore given will be audited.
On Wednesday, BJP MLAs raised slogans in the Assembly demanding dissolution of the club. After this the minister announced the dissolution of the club. During Question Hour, Congress MLA Savitri Mandavi had demanded not to dissolve the club.
Rs 2856 crore not deposited from liquor sale
Regarding irregularities in the operation of liquor shops, BJP MLA Dharamjit Singh said that there are about 700 shops of domestic and foreign liquor in the state. Rs 2856 crore of sales from these shops were not deposited in the treasury. This scam has been going on since 2019.
MLA Dharamjeet said that he had raised this issue in the House earlier also. Then the answer was received that Rs 2800 crores were spent in Chilhar. Whereas such a huge amount cannot be kept for Chilhar. He asked whether the government would appoint new placement agencies.
There will be recruitment of new youth
In response to this, the Finance Minister said that now agencies will work in a transparent manner. He told that, we will adjust their payment this month, so that the recovery is ensured. Also, now only new youth and educated people will be included through placement agencies.
Finance Minister said – no promise of liquor ban
Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that the previous government had promised prohibition of liquor in the public manifesto. With Ganga water in hand, we had said that there would be a liquor ban, but we had made no such promise. However, strict action will be taken against illegal liquor sale.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant said that we had never made any promise of banning liquor by taking Ganga water in our hands.
Dwarkadhish said – Cow smugglers’ morale is high under BJP government
Congress MLAs raised the issue of cow smuggling in Raipur in the House. MLA Dwarkadhish Yadav said that with the formation of BJP government, the morale of cow smugglers has increased. Cows have been found in containers on the streets of the capital, 1300 cows have also died.
Dwarkadhish said that the government is not ready to take action against cow smugglers. Within three months of BJP government, cow smugglers have entered Chhattisgarh from Tamil Nadu. Mother cows are being killed and the government is sitting silent. The government is not able to protect mother cow.
Jal Jeevan Mission issue echoed in the House
The issue of Jal Jeevan Mission echoed during the question hour in Chhattisgarh Assembly. During this, BJP MLA Gomti Sai asked questions on the scheme in Jashpur. Also demanded to form a committee and investigate the irregularities. Questions were also asked regarding the vacant posts of Engineer in Jashpur.
