Candidates of SI recruitment exam in Raipur took out a candle march on Tuesday demanding release of results soon. The candidates demand that the results should be discussed in the ongoing assembly session and the government should clarify its stand in this regard.
Candidates marched from Subhash Stadium to Ambedkar Chowk with candles and banners in their hands. During this, the candidates were holding the tricolor and posters in their hands. It was written on these posters, the extent of mental torture, when will be the final result? Even before the elections, he had met the leaders and ministers.
The candidates told that they had met leaders and ministers regarding the release of results before the assembly elections. He gave assurance, but nothing happened. Now, if the results are not coming even after the new government comes, they are worried about the future.
Recruitment was done 6 years ago
Chhattisgarh Sub Inspector Recruitment was done on 655 posts in the year 2018 by the then BJP government. After the Congress government came to power in the state, they increased the posts to 975. Then 3 years passed due to delay in recruitment due to reservation issue and Covid-19. After this, the recruitment process was started again after the candidates protested. In the year 2021, forms were taken from the candidates and till 8 September 2023, 5 stages of the recruitment process (physical measurement, pre-mains exam, physical test, interview) have been completed.
The final result of Sub Inspector Recruitment Examination is yet to come. Candidates have been continuously demanding the result from the government for the last 6 months, but till now even after 6 years, the process of this recruitment has not been completed.
The recruitment process was completed in these stages-
June-July 2022- Physical measurement
29 January 2023- Preliminary Exam
26th May 2023 to 29th May 2023 – Main Exam
From 18th July 2023 to 30th July 2023- Physical Efficiency Test
From 17th August 2023 to 08th September 2023 – Interview Exam, case went to High Court
Chhattisgarh The candidates who failed in appearing in different stages of Sub Inspector recruitment examination have filed a petition in the High Court, but the High Court has not imposed any kind of ban on the recruitment process and has not given any kind of interim relief.
The High Court has said many times that there is no ban on recruitment, the government can declare the result. Still the decision was not taken by the old government and the present new government. The High Court had given the government 30 days to decide on the result. The 30 days period has completed on 5th January. The final hearing of the case is to be held on February 19.
