On the occasion of Maa Parameshwari Jayanti, the presiding deity of Devangan community, Maa Parameshwari Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp by the Kondagaon Devangan community. On this occasion, Forest and Cooperation Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, MLA Kondagaon Ms. Lata Usendi, MLA Keshkal Mr. Neelkanth Tekam and other public representatives also participated in the program. A grand Kalash Yatra was also taken out by the Devangan community from Bandha pond on the birth anniversary of Maa Parameshwari. Special puja and seva bhajan was performed by lighting the lamp on the idol of Maa Parameshwari.
    Forest and Cooperation Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, who came as the chief guest in this program, said that Devangan community is considered as a hardworking society and the society has played a very important role in the development of the state. During our government, the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had also launched various schemes for the upliftment of the weavers along with waiving off their loans for the upliftment of the society. On this occasion, MLA Kondagaon Ms. Lata Usendi, while congratulating Maa Parameshwari Jayanti and Basant Panchami, said that the government is continuously working for the development of the area by doing infrastructure and construction work for the development of all. Keshkal MLA Shri Neelkanth Tekam said that Devangan community has been an organized society. The unity of this society is exemplary for all. The Devangan community has always contributed to the progress of the state which is commendable.
    District President of Devangan Samaj, Mani Shankar Devangan, representatives of the society and other distinguished citizens were present in this program.
