Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao has said that Kalar community is a very conscious and hardworking society. On the strength of its hard work and ability, this society is continuously setting new steps of progress in every field. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao expressed views to this effect in the Kalar Mahotsav organized by Dadsena Kalar Samaj in village Sorar of Balod district. He mentioned the indomitable courage and bravery of Mata Bahadur Kalarin and paid homage to her. On behalf of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Shri Sao announced a grant of Rs 25 lakh for the construction and expansion of the grand building of Kalar Samaj under construction in village Soror. Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, MP Shri Mohan Mandavi, MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha and Shri Yogeshwar Raju Sinha also participated in the Kalar Mahotsav.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, while addressing the Kalar Mahotsav as the chief guest, said that it is the result of the awareness and unity of Kalar Samaj that today three MLAs and one minister of Kalar Samaj are present on this stage. Kalar Samaj is at the leading position in many fields including education, trade, business and government service. Highlighting the characteristics of the people of Chhattisgarh, he said that along with being hardworking, the people here are simple, simple and extremely innocent. Thanks to the hardworking people of the state, Chhattisgarh has immense potential to become the leading state of the country. Our government is continuously working in this direction.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, while addressing the festival, said that Kalar community has had an important contribution in the reconstruction of Chhattisgarh and beautification of the state since ancient times. Explaining the relation of Kalar society with Kalchuri culture and Kalchuri dynasty, he said that the rulers of Kalchuri made Tumman the first capital of Chhattisgarh and then Ratanpur. People of Kalchuri dynasty have a big contribution in making Raipur the capital of Chhattisgarh. Shri Jaiswal said that in the entire Bastar division, the population of people of Kalar community is second only to the tribal community. He appealed to the people of Kalar community to keep the glorious heritage of the society intact.

MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha and Mr. Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, State President of Kalar Samaj Mr. Yuvraj Sinha and Patron Mr. Deepak Sinha also addressed the Kalar Mahotsav. In the programme, people of Kalar community who have done remarkable work in various fields were honored with Mata Bahadur Kalarin Decoration. Municipal Corporation Risali Mayor Mrs. Shashi Sinha, former MLA Mr. Bhaiyaram Sinha, Collector Mr. Inderjit Singh Chandrawal and Superintendent of Police Mr. Surjan Bhagat, along with a large number of Kalar Samaj officials and dignitaries were present in the program.
