A bullet was fired in a club in the capital Raipur late on Saturday night over a girlfriend’s affair. A dispute first started between two youths over their girlfriend, due to which one youth vandalized the other’s car. In a fit of rage, the other youth opened fire with his licensed pistol. The police took out a procession by shaving half of the accused.
The matter is of Telibandha police station area. The patrolling team had received information during patrolling that there was a dispute between Vikas Aggarwal, resident of Gudhiyari, and Rohit Tomar, resident of Bhatagaon, in the parking lot of Hyper Club. An argument started between the two over something and later firing took place. There is no news of anyone getting injured in the incident. A young man vandalized the car.
Rohit Tomar got angry and vandalized Vikas’s car. He also pushed Vikas. After the incident, Vikas took out his licensed pistol and fired towards Rohit. However, no one got hurt in this.
After this incident, Raipur City Additional SP Lakhan Patle, CSP Manoj Dhruv and Telibandha police team reached the spot. Police is taking legal action against both the accused.
Vikas’s allegation- Rohit attacked with the bat
Vikas has accused Rohit of attacking him with a cricket bat kept in his car. Rohit was also accompanied by his friend Sarang Mandhan. Apart from this, he was hit on the chest with a beer bottle. The bottle hit his elbow and blood started flowing. Vikas has said that he fired in the air in self-defence.
At the same time, Rohit alleges that Vikas had fired on his head which would have resulted in his death. But he sat down so that the bullet did not hit him. His life was saved. Telibandha police has registered a case against both the accused under the charge of attempt to murder. A procession of the accused was taken out after shaving half their heads.
Police have arrested four accused after the firing in Hyper Club. Apart from Rohit Tomar, Vikas Aggarwal, the police arrested Sarang Mandhan and one of his associates Amit Taneja and took out a procession. The police took the four accused on foot to the court with half their heads shaved. The accused is the brother of the Karni Sena president, has been to jail earlier also.
According to the information received, Rohit Tomar, involved in the fire incident, is the brother of Karni Sena President Virendra Tomar. Even before this, Rohit Tomar had gone to jail along with his brother in a usury case. They are accused of charging high interest by lending money to people. If the money was not paid, he along with his henchmen used to beat the victim.
