Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said that DMFD items should be used for public welfare works for which there is no provision in the departmental budget. Health sector should be kept on priority under DMFT item so that better arrangements can be made for health. He also highlighted the need for electrification on river banks, Devguri renovation and empowerment of Panchayats. Besides, special attention should be paid to the quality of infrastructure construction works sanctioned under DMFD item and details of DMFD item works should be kept at the district level. Apart from this, state and central schemes should be operated smoothly. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap today reviewed the progress of works conducted under DMFT head for the financial year 2023-24 at Jagdalpur district headquarters. Along with this, the action plan for the financial year 2024-25 was discussed. The progress of department-wise work was reviewed in the meeting.
In the meeting, Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Dev said that public representatives and officials will coordinate with each other and speed up the development work of the area. Under the development works in Bastar region, basic infrastructure is being constructed and common citizens will benefit from it. Collector Shri Vijay Dayaram K. Gave information regarding the works. Proposals like drinking water problem, conservation of ancient ponds, promotion of collective farming, plantation of fruit trees, operation of two fair price shops in big villages, development of means of employment in big panchayats were discussed in the meeting. . Also, problems and other issues of their area were put forward by Chitrakot MLA Mr. Vinayak Goyal and members of the Governing Council in which instructions were given to the officials of the concerned department to take action. On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mrs. Vedawati Kashyap, distinguished members of the Governing Council, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Prakash Sarve, Divisional Forest Officer Mr. Uttam Gupta, Kanger Valley National Park Director Mr. Dhammasheel Ganveer and other officials were present.
