Raipur. The first budget of Vishnudev Sai government will be presented in the Assembly on 9 February. Before coming into government, BJP has made many big promises to the people of the state, obviously the reflection of those promises will be visible in the budget. Before presenting the budget, Finance Minister OP Chaudhary said in an exclusive conversation with Lalluram.com that its aspects cannot be told before presenting the budget, but I will definitely say that this budget will lay a strong foundation for the development of Chhattisgarh. Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that with the hope and confidence with which the people have given their mandate to the BJP, it is their right to expect better from the government. He said that we are coming with many big decisions. Public benefit is paramount in these decisions. The state in which Congress was voted out of power, leaving the state on the verge of bankruptcy, will be recognized as having the best financial management.
OP Chaudhary said that it takes four to five months to prepare the budget, but we got only one and a half to two months. Because of this I had to work harder. This budget would be based on the development agenda that the state government intends to work on. This budget will ensure a better future for the state. This will be a budget that will lay a strong foundation for the development of the state.

The Finance Minister said that the previous Congress government had pushed Chhattisgarh to the brink of bankruptcy. Congress, while in government, ran mafia rule and indulged in massive corruption. He said that when money goes into the pockets of the corrupt, then less revenue comes to the government treasury. But good governance means that a system should be developed which brings more money into the government treasury rather than into the pockets of the corrupt.
He said that it is unfortunate that the system built in the last five years has been completely demolished. The permit given for transportation of coal is an example of this. Last time before Congress came to power, there was an online system of permits, but after coming to power, Congress abolished this online system in 2020 and made it offline. Due to this, more money went into the pockets of the corrupt and the government reached the verge of bankruptcy.

OP Chaudhary said that we want to bring good governance in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. Surely one or two years will be difficult for us, but when we come with good reforms, then the revenue will definitely increase. An honest system will develop. For this we will take the help of technology. With better technology, even where we do not increase taxes, tax collection will increase. With the help of new reforms we will improve the revenue of the state.
