Yapur. Finance Minister OP Chaudhary presented the economic survey in the Assembly. According to the important figures of the survey, the GDP of the state has increased from Rs 3 lakh 2 thousand 102 crore in the year 2022-23 to Rs 3 lakh 21 thousand 900 crore in 2023-24. The growth rate of GDP at constant prices has been 6.16 percent, while the growth rate of the country’s GDP has been 7.32 percent. “Economic Survey Year 2023-24” of Chhattisgarh state was presented on the table in the Assembly budget session. The main points of this publication are the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GSDP) estimate for the year 2022-23 and advance estimate for the year 2023-24. Brief details are given as follows and in Table 1 and 2. At the same time, there is a critical study of the progress in the context of various aspects of the economy, its socio-economic condition, the basic factors affecting it and the schemes of the state government.

1 Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth prospects in the year 2023-24

1.1 At constant prices (base year 2011-12):- Advance estimate: Gross State Domestic Product at Market Prices (GSDP at Market Prices) in the year 2023-24 is estimated to increase by 6.56 percent as compared to the previous year 2022-23. In which 3.23 percent growth in agriculture and allied sectors (agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries and forestry), 7.13 percent growth in industry sector (including construction, manufacturing, mining and quarrying, electricity, gas and water supply) and 5.02 percent growth in service sector is estimated. .

1.2 Advance Estimates at prevailing prices Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP at Market Prices) in the year 2023-24 is likely to increase from Rs 4,64,399 crore in the previous year 2022-23 to Rs 5,05,887 crore, which is Shows an increase of 8.93 percent. In which agriculture and allied sector will increase from Rs 89,530 crore in the year 2022-23 to Rs 97,628 crore in the year 2023-24, similarly in the industry sector it will increase from Rs 1,96,817 crore to Rs 2,12,903 crore in the year 2023-24 and in service sector It is likely to increase from Rs 1,53,066 crore to Rs 1,65,891 crore in the year 2023-24, which is a percentage increase of 9.05, 8.17 and 8.38 percent respectively as compared to the previous year.

Quick estimates of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in the year 2022-23 at constant prices (base year 2011-12): – According to quick estimates of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP at Market Prices) of the state last year 2021- In comparison to 2022, there has been an increase of 7.67 percent in the year 2022-23.
