Balrampur. Under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, 400 new couples got married at the Tatapani Mahotsav complex under Balrampur development block of the district under the Chief Minister Kanya Mass Marriage Scheme. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, present on this occasion, wished the newlyweds for the new phase in life. Under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, 400 couples got married according to customs. In this, marriage of 19 couples was done in Christian manner. 01 marriage was conducted according to Muslim customs and the remaining couples were married according to Hindu customs. These couples also include 07 couples from special backward tribe (Pahari Korwa) along with 3 disabled couples, who were married as per Hindu customs. Disabled couple Rukmani and Prakash from Shankargarh were given a demo of Rs. 21 thousand by the Chief Minister on behalf of the Women and Child Development Department. Along with the cheque, being a disabled person, a check of Rs 50,000 given by the Social Welfare Department was also given. Utensils, cupboards, boxes, racks, mattresses, household items and other items were presented as special gifts by the department to the bride and groom. In the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah, each girl was given a gift material worth Rs. 15 thousand.. Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is a special effort for the girls of poor families. The objective of this scheme is to support the economically weaker sections, where they are getting married with the efforts of the government and administration. By becoming aware of this scheme, people are getting benefited from the benefits of the scheme.
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, School Education Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, Samari MLA Udheshwari Paikra, Pratappur MLA Shakuntala Porte, District Panchayat President Nisha Netam and other public representatives were also present.
