Raipur. Former Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdev has demanded from Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai to stop cutting of trees in Hasdev Aranya. Singhdev spoke to CM Sai over telephone and informed him about the ground situation of the protests related to Hasdev Aranya. While local people have divided opinions towards mining in old mines, the entire tribal society is unanimous in opposing mining in new mineshttps

Singhdev said, the Chief Minister himself belongs to the tribal dominated area and community of Surguja region. He has complete knowledge of tribal ideology, culture, traditions and beliefs. He is fully aware of the love, dedication and loyalty of the tribal community towards water, forest and land. Singhdev said, while respecting the resolution passed unanimously in the Assembly against new mining in Hasdev, for the interest of the tribal community of Surguja. Therefore, as per his wish, the Chief Minister and the Government of Chhattisgarh should ban the mining of new mines.
