Sachin Pilot will now be the new in-charge of Chhattisgarh Congress. Kumari Selja has been removed from this post. The party high command took the decision 20 days after the defeat in the assembly elections. After the elections, local leaders and former MLAs continuously expressed their views against Kumari Selja.

Kumari Selja was appointed Congress in-charge in December 2022. Earlier this charge was with PL Punia. Selja was also accused of taking money for the ticket. Why was Kumari Selja removed?

After the bad defeat of Congress in Chhattisgarh, many former MLAs had opened a front against Kumari Selja. There were serious allegations like money transactions and audio-videos going viral. Apart from this, continuous questions were raised on Selja regarding ticket cancellation. The MLAs whose tickets were canceled complained about Selja to many leaders in Delhi. Many former MLAs had even talked about giving evidence against Selja to the high command. Chhattisgarh got ‘Pilot’
There was discussion that after the assembly elections, Pilot can be made the state president of Rajasthan Congress. Putting an end to these speculations, the Congress high command has sent Pilot to Chhattisgarh. The effort behind this is that he should focus more on Chhattisgarh in the Lok Sabha. Pilot has the image of an aggressive leader. Congress believes that some such people are needed in Chhattisgarh, hence they have been sent here. Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the new state in-charge.

Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the new state in-charge. He wrote on social media – Congratulations and best wishes to Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot ji on being appointed in-charge of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee. Congratulations to Kumari Selja ji, the outgoing in-charge of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress, on being appointed in-charge of Uttarakhand. Thank you for your services in Chhattisgarh.
