Raipur. Today in the Chhattisgarh Assembly, the issue of Hasdev Aranya was raised by Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant. During the discussion in the supplementary budget, Mahant said, the public has not even started getting benefits and benefits have started being given to Adani. Permission has been given for cutting of trees in Hasdev forest area. The tribals who were agitating to save Hasdev have been arrested.
Dr. Mahant said that there is rich forest in Hasdev area. The area is home to many animals including elephants. Mining in that area will ruin everything. A resolution was brought in the House in our government to save Hasdev. We had opposed mining. I want that the government should stop Hasdev from being destroyed. Charandas Mahant said, more than 30 thousand trees have been cut. 2.5 lakh trees will be cut, this should be stopped. Regarding Hasdev Aranya, Dharamjit Singh said, Bhupesh government has given permission to cut trees. Charandas Mahant said- Do not give water, forest and land to Adani. This will disturb the environmental balance, this should be stopped.
