Now government buildings without access will be connected by paved roads

Raipur, 09 July 2020. Under the Chief Minister Sugam Road Scheme, in the first phase, approval of Rs 4 crore 95 lakh 58 thousand has been granted for connecting 49 government buildings without access to the paved road in the state. The scheme was launched on June 19 last month on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the vision of Public Works Department Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu.
Public Works Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said that it will now be easy to reach all government buildings and public places of the state through the Chief Minister Sugam Road Scheme. Under this scheme, all such government schools, hospitals, colleges, Anganwadi buildings, fair price shops and other educational institutions which were not yet connected to the main roads by a paved road, will all be connected by paved and perennial routes.
1116 works worth 200 crores will be done by the Public Works Department under this scheme this year. In the first phase, sanction of Rs. 4 crore 95 lakh 58 thousand for 49 works has been issued by Chief Engineer Office to Chief Engineer Public Works Department Zone Raipur. Of these, Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 34 thousand for 19 works in Dharsinwa assembly constituency, Rs 1 crore 27 lakh 38 thousand for 11 works in Dongargarh assembly constituency, Rs 97 lakh 13 thousand for 7 works in Khairagarh assembly constituency, Pandaria assembly constituency 50 lakh 36 thousand rupees have been sanctioned for 6 works, Rs 47 lakh 45 thousand for 3 works for Ahiwara assembly constituency and Rs 36 lakh 92 thousand for 3 offices in Saraipali assembly constituency. About 6 thousand 833 meters of paved road is proposed.
