Raipur. In the last assembly elections, the then candidate from the West, Vikas Upadhyay, had hoisted his flag by defeating the powerful minister Rajesh Munat. But in this assembly election, it seemed as if the sun of Congress i.e. Vikas Upadhyay had set in the west. The condition of the record of defeat is such that even the people of his own ward completely rejected Vikas. This is the reason that among the four seats of Raipur Assembly, Raipur West is the only seat where Congress candidate Vikas Upadhyay has lost in even one ward. Did not get majority. Let us tell you that there are a total of 21 wards in Raipur West, where he has lost in all the wards. Congress leaders have now started reviewing this defeat. Let us tell you that Vikas has lost this election by more than 41 thousand votes and could not cross double digits in 6 polling stations.
There are 6 polling stations in Raipur West Assembly seat where Vikas Upadhyay could not even cross the double digit mark. In this, he got 91 votes in 19 quotas while BJP candidate Rajesh Munat got 332 votes. Vikas got 87 votes in 76 Gudhiyari, 94 in 90 Gudhiyari, 88 in 138 Ramsagarpara, 84 in 181 College Ward, and 226 Daganiya. Vikas got only 71 votes, while Munat got 178, 285, 307, 411, and 115 votes respectively. The surprising thing is that he did not get the lead in any of the 19 rounds. Overall, Vikas Upadhyay lost by 41 thousand 229 votes.
This is the condition of remaining three seats of Raipur
