Food and Drug Administration Department officials conducted raids on some shops in Raipur city on Friday. Surprising facts have come to light in this raid. Some medicines have been found which cannot be sold without a drug license. These medicines were found from sellers of fancy store goods. A total of medicines and creams worth Rs 12.50 lakh were seized.

Doctors also prescribe these medicines thoughtfully. Selling these medicines without a drug license is a crime. For this reason, now preparations are being made to take action against the businessmen by conducting these raids. A large cache of medicines has been recovered from fancy stores and wholesalers and wholesalers selling cosmetics. Illegal business has been going on for many years.

This illegal business was going on in Raipur for years. Assistant Drug Controller Basant Kaushik told Dainik Bhaskar that complaints had been received regarding some shops. Early in the morning, the team of drug inspector Dr. Parmanand Verma, Lakshmi Verma, Dr. Tekchand Dhirhe, Neeraj Sahu, Hansa Sahu went to the shops and raided them. The raid was conducted in the shops named Agarwal Cosmetics near Shiv Shankar Store of Doomtarai and Nayapara Electricity Office. . The medicines found from these shops include medicines like Panderm Cream, Betnovate Cream, Skin Shine Cream. Officials of the Food Drug Administration Department said that there is a possibility of skin cancer or other skin related diseases using these medicines and creams without medical advice.

Doctors also give these medicines only when necessary after examining the patient’s skin. Even those running medical shops cannot sell it without a doctor’s prescription.
