Senior Chhattisgarh BJP leader and Raipur South MLA Brijmohan Agarwal was attacked late Thursday evening. During this, he was dragged by his collar and beaten. Brijmohan Aggarwal had reached Baijnath Para for campaigning. Aggarwal has alleged that people of Ejaz Dhebar and Anwar Dhebar wanted to kill him.
On receiving information about this, a large number of his supporters reached the Kotwali police station and surrounded it. They are raising slogans against the Congress government. At present around one and a half to two thousand people are gathered in the police station. MLA Aggarwal said that until the attackers are arrested, he will continue to protest sitting in the police station. Supporters allege that Brijmohan Aggarwal had reached Baijnath Para for campaigning. During the campaign in Maulana Abdul Rauf ward here, some people came to Brijmohan near the Madrasa. He said how dare he enter this ward and pushed him away. Meanwhile, by the time his supporters arrived, they had already beaten Brijmohan Agarwal and ran away. These people are trying to commit hooliganism in protection. These people are threatening our workers. They are doing politics sitting in the government bungalow. This is the result of a conspiracy. I was with so many people so I was saved, if it had been any common man they would have killed him.
