On the occasion of Diwali festival, Diwali Milan ceremony was organized at Raj Bhavan today. On this occasion, Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan, First Lady of the state Mrs. Suprabha Harichandan extended Diwali greetings to all the officers and employees of Raj Bhavan. Officials and employees of Raj Bhavan also wished Diwali to the Governor.
On this occasion, Governor Shri Harichandan said that Diwali festival is such a holy day when sin is destroyed and religion triumphs. We all know about Lord Ram’s exile and abduction of Sita. Lord Rama freed the world from his terror by killing Ravana and returned victorious to Ayodhya on the day of Diwali. This is a very auspicious occasion for us. The Governor said that the blessings of Lord Ram, Mother Sita and Mahaprabhu Jagannath remain on Chhattisgarh and all of you.
Secretary to the Governor, Shri Amrit Khalkho also gave his address and wished everyone a very happy Diwali. On this occasion, Legal Advisor to the Governor Shri R.K. Srivastava, Deputy Secretary to the Governor Mr. Deepak Kumar Aggarwal, Assistant to the Governor Mr. Vivek Shukla, Mr. Nishant Kumar and all the officers and employees of Raj Bhavan were present.
