Before the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, a big revelation was made regarding Mahadev betting app. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested a person named Aseem Das on November 2. Rs 5.39 crore were recovered from him.
Regarding this money, BJP claimed that this money was going to be sent to Congress for election expenses. Union Minister Smriti Irani held a press conference in Delhi on Saturday and asked questions from Congress about this. On the other hand, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has asked PM Modi why Mahadev App has not been banned till now.
BJP’s allegation – Congress is playing speculative game while being in power. Smriti Irani said – Aseem Das has admitted in his statement that he came to Raipur from Dubai as per orders and he had received orders to give money for the election expenses of Congress.
Aseem Das admitted that the money was from the illegal betting app of Mahadev App. He also confessed that the order to send him money was given by Shubham Soni who is involved in the top level management of Mahadev Online App.
Smriti further said- Shubham Soni has said in a written statement that the promoters of Mahadev App have so far given a bribe of Rs 508 crore to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
But this is not the only such information, rather another shocking fact has come to light. The promoters of Mahadev Online Book App, who wanted protection from the administration and Congress leaders, also used to send protection money through an officer named Chandrabhushan Verma. Chandrabhushan Verma has handled Rs 65 crore till now. Congress’s reply – ED has become the election department of BJP. After Smriti Irani’s allegations, three big Congress leaders in Delhi KC Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh and Abhishek Manu Singhvi also spoke to the press. During the conference, ED was called a weapon of BJP.

Mahadev online betting app and its promoters are being investigated by ED under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. Asim Das and his partner constable Bhim Singh Yadav were produced in the special court of Raipur at around 5 pm on Friday evening. The court has sent him on ED remand for 7 days. Now the next hearing will be on November 10. The constable went to Dubai thrice, met the promoters of Mahadev App there.
ED lawyer said that Bhim Singh Yadav is a constable in Supela police. We had received information that he had gone to Dubai three times. In 2 visits he also met the promoters of Mahadev App. His booking was also done by these people. Apart from this, the money that came was also being distributed to the political party during the election time. ED team had entered the house by breaking the lock.
It is being told that Aseem Das is a driver by profession and runs an online betting app. ED suspects that the money found from his house was from an online betting app which was kept to be spent in the elections. More than 12 lakh people joined this app named ‘Mahadev Book’ within a few months. Most of the people who joined were from Chhattisgarh. People used this app for betting on everything from cricket to elections. Its users even started opening separate bank accounts to use this app.
