BJP and Congress have declared candidates for all 90 seats in Chhattisgarh. Some of these seats have now become high profile. In Patan, the Chief Minister is facing his nephew and MP Vijay Baghel. There is an election contest from Ambikapur between Deputy CM TS Singhdev and Rajesh Aggarwal. Whereas in Saja, BJP has given ticket to the victim of Biranpur violence and made him stand in front of Minister Ravindra Choubey.
