Raipur, 26 June 2020. The state government has sanctioned eight crore 83 lakh 38 thousand rupees for the construction of Odaragahan number two anicuts on the Kharun river under the development block of Durg district. After the construction of this anicut, 225 hectare area will be irrigated with the help of silted ground water promotion and farmers by their own means. Administrative approval has been issued to the Chief Engineer Mahanadi Godavari Cachar Water Resources Department Raipur from the Ministry of Water Resources Department, Mahanadi Bhawan, for getting the construction work done. Instructions have been given to carry out the work of the scheme with quality in a stipulated time frame.
