Applicants will get big facility in view of corona infection.
Raipur, 26 June 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has now provided the facility of providing caste and residence certificates in their homes, giving a big relief to the students and general public of the state. On the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the General Administration Department of the State Government has issued an order to all district collectors to provide home access facility to applicants for certificates, simplifying the distribution of caste and residence certificates.
After issuance of caste and residence certificate under the issued order, the certificate will be sent to their home address after taking postal registry fee from the respective applicants. For this, the facility of sending the certificate to the residence address of the applicants will be provided by the Public Service Centers and Tehsil Offices by taking postal registry expenditure fee from the applicants and acknowledging the expenditure fee. Therefore, applicants will not have to go to tehsil offices and public service centers again. The Secretary of the General Administration Department has instructed all the collectors of the state to start the facility of sending caste and residence certificate applicants home as per the intention of the government.
It is to be noted that under the Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act, the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management is issuing caste and residence certificates by the Tehsil Offices, Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue. In the prevailing system, applicants are obtained after submitting the application for caste and residence certificates in public service centers and tehsil offices after the prescribed period. Now home access service is being provided to the applicants by post.
