In the capital Raipur, on Friday night, a drunk truck driver crushed a person at Paragaon river turn in Arang police station area, due to which he died on the spot. The speeding truck first broke the barricading and then entered the check post. This person used to do video recording work with the police investigation team deployed on election duty. A constable present there narrowly escaped in this tragic accident. Although he is injured. In this case, Arang police has taken the truck driver into custody.
According to the information received from the police, there is a police checking point near Nadi Mode on National Highway No. 53 at Paragaon Chowk. The district administration’s monitoring team and policemen on election duty were present at the spot around 8:30 pm on Friday night. Meanwhile, a speeding uncontrolled truck from Mahasamund side came near the checking point. Breaking the bus stop, it entered the checking post.
The driver of this truck was drunk. Due to being at high speed, he lost control of his car. The truck first collided with the police barricade. Then the bus went ahead and entered the temporary checking post present there, breaking the stop. Due to this incident, the cameraman present at the checking post was crushed to death by the wheel of the truck. Apart from this, the police constable also narrowly escaped in this accident. The injured were taken to the hospital.
