MoU signed for egg distribution

Eggs will be given as additional nutritional food under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana (Midday Meal) in all the schools running in 7 districts of the state – Balrampur, Surguja, Jashpur, Raigarh, Surajpur, Narayanpur and Kondagaon. Recently, an MoU has been signed with the School Education Department and Azim Premji Foundation for administrative approval of the proposal for egg distribution and necessary action.
In the order issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction, it has been said that in all the schools running in these districts, all the students benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana (Midday Meal) will be provided eggs in the midday meal on every school day. Detailed guidelines regarding the process of egg donation and its accounting will be issued soon. Egg distribution will start soon along with midday meal.
Necessary instructions have been issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction in this regard to the District Education Officers of all 7 districts. The District Education Officers of the district have been directed to mandatorily enter the updated information about the numbers registered in the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana operated schools in the district as on 30 September 2023 in the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana portal.
