90 Vaidyas from seven forest divisions got benefits

Chhattisgarh Tribal Local Health Traditions and Medicinal Plants Board today distributed herb grinding machines to the Vaidyas traditionally working in the traditional medical system of Chhattisgarh state in the board office. A total of 90 Vaidyas were benefited from this – 10 Vaidyas from seven forest divisions Dhamtari, 20 Vaidyas from Kanker, 10 Vaidyas from Kabirdham, 20 Vaidyas from Bilaspur, 10 Vaidyas from Korba, 10 Vaidyas from Kondagaon and 10 Vaidyas from Katghora.
On this occasion, the Vaidyas expressed their happiness and described it as very important in drug processing work and appreciated the initiative of the Medicinal Plants Board under the Forest Department in supplying the pulverizer machine. He said that with the availability of pulverizer machine, it will be much easier to crush and grind medicinal plants and herbs and the cleanliness and quality of the medicinal powder will also be maintained.
It is worth noting that in Chhattisgarh, as per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, continuous efforts are being made to provide maximum benefits to the minor forest produce collectors under the guidance of Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar under the system of collection as well as processing, marketing etc. . In this connection, Medicinal Plants Board Chairman Shri Balkrishna Pathak said that for the convenience of the traditional healers of the state, the machine has been distributed to them. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief of Forest Force Shri V. Srinivas Rao and Chief Executive Officer of the Board, Shri J.A.C.S. Rao said that this scheme will be expanded further in the state. Today the pulverizer machine was distributed by board members Mr. Birsingh Padda and Mr. Shukla Prasad Dhurve.
Mr. Rao, CEO of Chhattisgarh Tribal Local Health Traditions and Medicinal Plants Board, informed that the said machine has been supplied as a group system. Along with the supplied group, the machine will also benefit other Vaidya communities living in 8 to 10 nearby villages. Through this machine, raw material of herbs like Harra, Baheda, Amla, Haldi, Kalmegh, Bala, Satavar, Adusa, Tulsi, Brahmi, Tikhur, Baybidan, Kaunch, Ashwagandha, Bach, Stevia, Giloy etc. is used in grinding.
