Students coming from far away places will no longer face problems
Students will get free transportation facility from home to college.
More than 1 lakh regular students studying in government colleges and universities will benefit: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel launched Chhattisgarh Yuva Mitan Transport Scheme in a program organized at his residence office on Saturday. Under this, students studying in the college will get free transportation facility from home to college. Following the announcement made by the Chief Minister, this scheme was launched today. This scheme will benefit more than one lakh students studying in colleges and universities.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the students on the launch of the scheme. He said that I had promised you that the government will provide free transport facility to the students studying in colleges from home to college and from college to home. As per the same promise, Chhattisgarh Yuva Mitan Transport Scheme is being launched in today’s program. I can very well understand the difficulties students face in traveling from far away places to study in college. Students from poor and middle class families have to face even more difficulties. Our manifesto also promised to provide free transport facilities to the students to and from the college. This facility is being started from today.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that under this scheme, more than 1 lakh regular students studying in government colleges and government universities will benefit. The financial expenditure on this scheme will be approximately Rs 110 crore, out of which half will be borne by the state government and the other half will be borne by the bus operators as a discount. During the last five years, we have taken consistent steps to ensure excellent education from primary schools to colleges. Under the Swami Atmanand Excellent School Scheme, 753 English and Hindi medium excellent schools are being run in the state. More than 4 lakh students have been given free admission in these schools.
Students can avail the benefits of the scheme like this
To avail the benefits of Chhattisgarh Yuva Mitan Parivahan Yojana, students can apply for bus pass with college and route on the website. The college will approve or reject the application after logging in and checking all the details. Approved students can log in and download their bus pass with QR code and keep its printout safe with them. The bus will be taken from home to college and from college to home after checking the pass by the bus conductor.
Students will get benefits
Under Chhattisgarh Yuva Mitan Parivahan Yojana, students will have the facility to travel from home to college. Free transport will make it easier for students to pursue higher education. This scheme will also be financially helpful for the students. This scheme will save time of students. This scheme will promote social inclusion among students.
In the program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that more than 30 thousand teachers have been recruited to overcome the shortage of teachers in all the government schools of the state. 1252 assistant professors, 40 librarians and 39 sports officers have been appointed in colleges. Recently we have also started Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme for 12th class students. Under this scheme, students are being given free coaching for the preparation of NEET and JEE entrance examinations. During the last five years, 83 new colleges have been opened in the state. 23 thousand 500 seats have been increased in already running colleges. 10 new girls colleges have been opened in the district headquarters. 10 English medium colleges have also been started in the state. In the year 2018-19, 02 lakh 26 thousand 373 students were admitted in colleges in the state. In comparison, 03 lakh 35 thousand 139 students have taken admission in the year 2022-23. Friends, our government has not only created an excellent education environment for the students but has also ensured a good future for them.
