A scrap center for old vehicles has been opened in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In which all government vehicles older than 15 years will be compulsorily scrapped. This scrapping center was started by Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar. He told that if a person gets his car scrapped, he will be given the benefit of 25 percent tax exemption on buying a new car.
Minister Akbar said that the government is trying to establish Chhattisgarh as the biggest hub of vehicle scrapping in Central India. Due to which this center has been made completely digital. In fact, under Chhattisgarh Industrial Policy 2019-24, registered vehicle scrapping centers have been kept in the category of high priority industries. Those setting up this industry can take advantage of government exemptions.

In this matter, Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar said that if someone gets the vehicle scrapped from a registered scrapping centre. So he will be given 25 percent tax exemption on buying a new car. Apart from this, an online certificate will also be issued. Which will be called Certificate of Deposit. Which will be valid in all automobile dealerships of Chhattisgarh.
