Our freedom fighters are our pride. To protect the motherland and for the welfare of the general public, he did not care about his life. Padmashree Late Dr. Mahadev Prasad Pandey took part in the freedom struggle at the young age of 13, while social worker Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi gave up five villages of his livelihood for the development of Ayurveda education. They are like our ancestors Dadhichi who looted everything and donated it to the country. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said this on the occasion of unveiling of the statue of freedom fighter and Padmashree Dr. Mahadev Prasad Pandey and social worker Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi at Government Late Narayan Prasad Awasthi Ayurvedic College. The Chief Minister said that Devada is close to my native village and 13 freedom fighters were arrested simultaneously in this village. At that time Dr.

The Chief Minister said that I used to study in Science College and in the adjacent Ayurvedic College, I used to hear stories of the charity of Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi. He donated five villages of his land revenue. He presented a wonderful example of charity. He did this work for the improvement of education and health and for the advancement of Ayurveda. Any work done for the spread of education is very meaningful.

The Chief Minister said that it is said in our scriptures that collection of money is meaningful only when it is used in spreading knowledge. Today we are in this college premises and such a beautiful program to promote Ayurveda is taking place here.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also met the family members of Dr. Pandey and Mr. Awasthi. He also distributed pattas to the beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Ashray Yojana. On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vikas Upadhyay also gave his address. He said that every day hundreds of people are being treated through Ayurvedic College and are getting health benefits. Dr. Pandey was the principal here and Mr. Awasthi donated the land for it. Today everyone is getting the benefits of his charity. We bow to him. Former MLA Shri Virendra Pandey also addressed the program.

On this occasion, MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, Raipur Mayor Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Chairman of State Cow Service Commission Rajeshree Mahant Dr. Ramsundar Das, Municipal Corporation Chairman Mr. Pramod Dubey, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi, Principal of the college.
