Bumper purchase of vehicles started in the state before Navratri and Dussehra-Diwali.

As per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, under the guidance of Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, the Transport Department in the state is continuously carrying out innovative initiatives keeping in mind public convenience including easy traffic arrangements. It is noteworthy that the state government efficiently operated various justice schemes in Chhattisgarh for the welfare of the deprived section of the society and upliftment of the people. As a result of these NYAY schemes, an amount of more than Rs 2 lakh crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of the people in the state in five years. This is the reason that today the villages, cities and markets of the state are buzzing with business and bumper purchases of vehicles have started here even before Navratri and Dussehra-Diwali.  

In this context, as a result of convenience in buying and selling of vehicles, the number of registration of motor vehicles is continuously increasing in the state. 30,597 motor vehicles were registered in the state in September 2022, whereas 42,186 motor vehicles have been registered in September 2023. In this way, there has been an increase of about 37.88 percent in the registration of motor vehicles in the month of September 2023 as compared to the month of September 2022.

According to the information received from Commissioner Transport Shri Dipanshu Kabra, a maximum of 8,645 motor vehicles were registered under Raipur Regional Transport Office from September 2022 to September 2023 across the state. Of these, 2,128 motor vehicles have been registered under Surguja Regional Transport Office, 3,187 under Bilaspur Regional Transport Office, 3,589 under Durg Regional Transport Office, 1,215 under Jagdalpur Regional Transport Office.

Similarly, under the District Transport Office, 1,049 in Baikunthpur, 688 in Balod, 1,391 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 655 in Balrampur, 574 in Bemetara, 337 in Bijapur, 424 in Dantewada, 1,035 in Dhamtari, 581 in Gariaband, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. 366, 2,009 in Janjgir-Champa, 1017 in Jashpur, 1,029 in Kanker, 913 in Kawardha, 792 in Kondagaon, 2,469 in Korba, 1,385 in Mahasamund, 685 in Mungeli, 250 in Narayanpur, 1,912 in Rajnandgaon, 267 in Sukma, in Surajpur 829 and 2,765 motor vehicles have been registered in Raigarh. These vehicles include motor vehicles like tractors, ambulances, buses, e-rickshaws, goods carriers, harvesters, taxis (cabs), motorcycles, heavy vehicles etc.
