Today is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, world famous as a priest of truth and non-violence. The whole world including India is engaged in knowing, understanding and accepting his ideals and thoughts. But in today’s situation how was it possible that this great country would have got independence on the strength of non-violence and truth! But it is also true and history is a witness that due to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s will to live, his self-confidence, he chose the mantra of non-violence and truth against the British dictatorship, oppression and slavery and thus became the Mahatma of millions of Indians.
It requires a big heart and mind to know, understand, read and assimilate Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi not only understood the problems and needs of the tribals, scheduled castes and backward classes but he also lived in that era. Today we all need the Mahatma who was vocal against untouchability, discrimination, caste, religion and color and fought against the British with the help of ideological weapons.
When we talk about village swaraj, we also have to give proper respect to traditional business, folk culture, festivals, food, dialect and language and keep the new generation connected with it. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is in power in Chhattisgarh for the last five and a half years. As soon as he formed the government, he has prepared such a policy for the welfare of farmers, villagers, workers, tribals, scheduled castes, backward classes, youth, women and children, which is also giving equitable rights to the coming generations.
When it comes to justice, police stations, courts and courts are visible before our eyes, despite this, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has made it clear that our government will not move forward by violating anyone’s rights. At the same time, the government will stand firm at all times to ensure that the needy people and all sections of the society get social, educational, political and economic justice. Probably, this is the very tradition which has proved helpful in following Bapu’s path.
When we talk about policy and justice, we start looking for the figures of the last five and a half years. But at the ground level, when it is seen that the main source of income of the tribals is getting the products like tendu leaves, minor forest produce etc. at the right price and at the right time, and there is a change in the standard of living of the people living there, then it is a social change. Justice is done and this has been the result of excellent policy and meaningful decisions of the government.
It used to be difficult to even imagine that a child from a poor and ordinary family would study in an excellent English medium school of the state, but it has also been the result of far-sighted policy and positive decision that now lakhs of children of the state are studying in Swami Atmanand Excellent School. Along with good infrastructure, they are also participating in sports.
Whenever any member of the family gets cold, cough or fever, the problem increases for a few moments but it is the policy of Bhupesh government which has brought the hospital to its doorstep. If any member of the family suffers from a serious illness, the financial condition gets badly ruined, but the Bhupesh government, which follows the concept of a sensitive and public welfare government, has provided Rs. 25 lakh for the eligible and needy patients under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Scheme. The policy that has been prepared to provide help up to Rs. is also a justice. Rising inflation and unemployment often affect the economic condition of the country. But in Chhattisgarh, this has been the policy of Bhupesh government, which was successful in providing sufficient food, MNREGA and other employment to the common people even during a disaster like Corona. Unemployment allowance is being given to lakhs of youth of the state, They are also being given training so that they can get help in employment and self-employment. While the continuously low unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh is a matter of pride for the state, the reduction in the number of people living below the poverty line is also a pleasant result.
Assess people’s basic needs, food, housing, roads, electricity, hospitals, schools, clean drinking water, employment. Then we also see the wall of the school which was closed for the last 13 years. Due to the sensitive initiative of the state government, schools have now opened and the light of education has also started shining. Action plans like providing roads and bridges from Bastar to Surguja, 24-hour electricity and permanent housing to every family transformed the state government’s policy into ‘Chhattisgarh Model’.
Who would have thought that cow dung and urine would also be procured in the state, but this policy has not only improved the living standards of the villagers and cattle herders, but has also made a major contribution in strengthening their economic condition. Suraji Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana forced other states of the country to attract them. Received honors and appreciation from the Government of India for many works. Then such a policy, Due to the passion and hard work with which Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his government have been engaged in realizing Bapu’s dream of village Swaraj through decision and justice, the people here suddenly started saying, ‘If there is Bhupesh, there is trust.’ And in this way, following the path shown by Bapu, the state government has launched the Chief Minister Suposhan Abhiyan to get rid of malnutrition, and to provide the right price for the produce to the food providers, these schemes are being implemented through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agricultural Laborer Nyay Yojana. Financial assistance is also being provided to the families.
While remembering and paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhiji, we also have to take a pledge that sweet tongue, good behaviour, cooperation, goodwill, sensitivity, sympathy, truth and non-violence are the weapons on the basis of which we can achieve the development of society, state and country. You can contribute.
The great man Bapu is definitely not present on this earth in physical form but his thoughts and principles will remain immortal for ages. Salutations Bapu…
