Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that Chhattisgarh is an agricultural state, considering this we worked to strengthen the rural economy. First of all, we waived the loan amount of farmers and their irrigation tax dues. Chhattisgarh is today the leading state in the country in giving the highest price to farmers for their produce. In the last five years, the state government has worked for the upliftment of all sections. In our schemes, we focused on making farmers, tribals as well as workers, children, elderly, women and youth economically capable. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the program ‘Netaji Newsroom Mein’ organized by Dainik Bhaskar in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, advisors to the Chief Minister, Shri Vinod Verma and Shri Ruchir Garg, along with public representatives and distinguished citizens were present in large numbers.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that when our government was formed, the biggest problem of Chhattisgarh that was in front of me was that 40 percent people were living below the poverty line, 41 percent children were victims of malnutrition and 47 percent children between 15 to 59 years of age were suffering from malnutrition. The women were suffering from anemia. Firstly the challenge was to deal with these problems, today 40 lakh people have come out of the poverty line through various welfare schemes run by the state government. Through the Chief Minister Suposhan Abhiyan, more than two lakh children have come out of malnutrition and more than one and a half lakh women have become free from anemia. Under the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme, treatment is being provided up to Rs 25 lakh. People are being provided cheap medicines at 72 percent discount under the Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store Scheme.
We accepted the problem and challenge of Bastar region and adopted the policy of development, trust and security there. To increase the income of the people of Vananchal, our government has given the status of agriculture to fish farming, lac farming and beekeeping. Along with purchasing minor forest produce, Kodo, Kutki and Ragi at support price, millet processing was also started. Asia’s largest millet processing plant has been established in Kanker. He said that today the scope of Naxalites has limited. We have taken a big initiative to open hundreds of closed schools in Bastar region, due to which the future of the future generations has been secured.
The Chief Minister said that to increase the reach of health services in Chhattisgarh to the remote areas, the Haat Bazaar Clinic Scheme was started, because we knew that whether people go to the clinic or not, they definitely go to the market, so we took the clinic to the market. Initially, space for this was not being provided by the Sarpanches, but gradually people came to know about it. Got to know about the benefits of this. Earlier, in remote areas like Bastar, people were unaware of the diseases like BP and sugar, but through Haat Bazaar Clinic, not only the diseases prevalent among the people there came to light, but treatment of those diseases also became possible. The result of this is that today more than 1 crore 86 lakh people of the state have benefited from this scheme. There was an outbreak of malaria in Bastar, which was eliminated through the Malaria Free Bastar Campaign.
Regarding Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that not a single candidate who appeared for the PSC exam has complained so far. If any complaint of any kind comes or even a single complaint is made by any candidate, we will investigate every complaint seriously. When you are eligible, you are giving the exam, you are eligible then you should definitely get the benefit. He said that I want to make it clear that I am with my children of Chhattisgarh. Appealing to the youth, he said that the youth should not get misled in any way, they should keep preparing with hard work and dedication, if there is any wrongdoing then they will investigate it and if anyone is guilty then action will definitely be taken against him.
