State Forest, Transport, Housing, Environment, Law, Legislative and Climate Change Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Mohammad Akbar inaugurated the social building of Baiga community at the district headquarters at a cost of Rs 20 lakh for the special backward Baiga tribe community residing in the district. . The members of Baiga community welcomed Minister Shri Akbar traditionally by wearing turban and Birnamala. It is noteworthy that due to the efforts of Cabinet Minister Shri Akbar, Kabirdham is the first district of Chhattisgarh, where district level land and twenty lakh rupees were given for the construction of a building for the upliftment of the specially protected and backward Baiga tribe society. After which the building was inaugurated today after the land was marked and the building was constructed.
Cabinet Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, while congratulating and best wishes to the Baiga community, said that after the formation of the new government in the state, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, along with the culture of the special backward tribes living in the state, and their protection and promotion, the society will also be protected. Important decisions have been taken to bring development into the mainstream. He said that in the state of Chhattisgarh there are five special backward tribes namely Baiga, Abujhmadia, Kamar, The hills are inhabited by Korba and Birhor. For the development of all these special backward tribes, a special agency has been formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. Important decisions are being taken to preserve the importance of the art, culture and costumes of special backward tribes. He said that to maintain the specialty and importance of Baiga dialect and language, the textbook has been published in Baigani language. Now the children here are studying books in their own language also. He said that the Bhupesh government of Chhattisgarh is committed to bring the special backward tribes residing in the state into the mainstream of development and concrete decisions are also being taken for this. In the coming times, these backward tribes will be associated with development and education. Kabirdham district is the first district of the state where hundreds of educated young men and women of Baiga community have been selected and linked to employment as school teachers. of state government
Cabinet Minister Shri Akbar said that many schemes are being implemented for the economic and social development of the people who have been living amidst forests and forests for centuries. Apart from this, policies have been made for forest produce collection to make them economically strong and provide employment opportunities at the local level. Under this scheme in the entire state, the collector families engaged in collecting tendu leaves will get the benefit of social security. He told that on the death of the head of the collector family, there is a provision to give Rs 4 lakh to his heir. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the new government of the state will work towards public welfare, farmers, Many schemes are being run for the economic upliftment and all-round development of the forest dwellers and citizens of the state.
