There is a good news regarding dengue patients. Out of 693 patients found so far, 546 people have completely recovered after defeating dengue. Treatment of 145 people is going on, most of whom are taking health benefits at home. Dr. Bhanu Patel from the Health Department said that the team of doctors is constantly keeping an eye on these patients. None of these patients is in critical condition. He said that adequate resources are available for the treatment of dengue. Along with this, the Municipal Corporation and health staff are continuously working under the guidance of Collector Mr. Taran Prakash Sinha to control dengue infection. All necessary steps are being taken. Public awareness campaign is helping in destroying dengue larvae.

Dr. PK Gupta, senior doctor and expert of the city, says that the platelet count of patients decreases in dengue fever. But only in a few cases is it severely reduced, requiring platelet transfusions. This happens only in a few percent of dengue cases. Most patients recover with proper treatment without platelet transfusions. He told that if the platelet count is less than 20 thousand, the patient has to undergo platelet transfusion. Platelet count is low in dengue. But platelets are not the only criterion for the seriousness of the patient. Doctors look at the symptoms of the patient along with platelets and decide when platelets should be transfused. He said that the scope of dengue investigation has increased due to the continuous public awareness campaign and close contact survey. Due to increase in testing, there is an increase in positive cases. But about 78 percent of these patients have completely recovered. Which is a good thing. More than two-thirds of the patients being treated are getting treatment while staying at home.

Vigilance is necessary when symptoms appear.
Dr. PK Gupta said that most of the people infected with dengue recover soon with proper treatment and precautions. It is not at all appropriate to delay getting tested and seeking medical advice even after symptoms appear; if someone is suffering from any other serious disease, they need to be especially cautious. If symptoms of dengue appear, a blood test should be done immediately and treatment should be done by a doctor. He said that at present there is adequate provision of platelets as per the need. He has advised BP sugar patients to take special precautions regarding dengue.
Know the symptoms of dengue – high fever, severe headache, red rashes on the skin, pain under the eyes, pain in joints and muscles, extreme fatigue, vomiting and nausea, stomach pain.

How to protect yourself from dengue:
Doctors say that to avoid dengue fever, you have to protect yourself from mosquitoes. To protect yourself from mosquitoes, apply mosquito repellent cream or lotion. One should sleep with mosquito net at night. In case of fever, a blood test should be done after consulting a doctor. If you start its treatment at the initial stage, you can recover from dengue soon.

Special wards have been created for the treatment of dengue patients, medicines and resources are available in sufficient quantity, instructions have been issued to private hospitals also.
Under the guidance of Collector Mr. Taran Prakash Sinha, special wards have been created in the district hospital and medical college for the treatment of dengue patients. Are. A 30-bed ward has been prepared in the district hospital and a 50-bed ward in the medical college. Apart from this, beds have also been arranged in all PHCs and CHCs. Medicines and testing kits are also available in sufficient quantity. There is also proper arrangement for platelets for the needy patients. By holding a meeting of private hospitals, they have been directed to provide necessary facilities for the treatment of patients. Those coming with Ayushman card have been instructed to get treatment under the card.
