Inauguration of 7300 works worth Rs 6080 crore by the Chief Minister in the state level virtual program – Bhoomi Pujan
Maximum focus on development of remote tribal areas

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel simultaneously inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 7300 works worth Rs 6080 crore in 26 districts in a state level program organized at his residence office today. Out of these works, 3978 works costing Rs 2668 crore were inaugurated, Bhoomi Pujan of 2692 works costing Rs 2805 crore and foundation stone of 630 works costing Rs 606 crore were laid.
While congratulating the people of the state on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the resolve to create a new Chhattisgarh is coming true. Along with infrastructure development and construction work, the state government is continuously working for the betterment of all sections including farmers, labourers, minor forest produce collectors. The innovative schemes and innovations of Chhattisgarh are being discussed all over the country. Among the works that have been inaugurated and Bhoomi Pujan done today, maximum work has been done in districts like Surajpur, Dantewada, Balrampur. More focus has been given to remote areas.
The Chief Minister said that our priority is to improve the living standards of the common people by increasing their income, for this the state government is continuously making efforts. In Chhattisgarh, farmers are getting the highest prices for various crops including paddy, kodo, kutki, ragi, sugarcane. Three-fourth of the country’s minor forest produce is collected in Chhattisgarh. The highest price of tendu leaves is available here. To provide roof over the house to the homeless, a new scheme Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Justice Scheme has been started yesterday, under which an amount of Rs 25,000 each has been given as the first installment to 7 lakh homeless. In the Socio-Economic Survey, funds have been given to 47 thousand new eligible people and laborers for housing construction. Education, health, Remarkable work has been done in the field of employment. Work has been done to strengthen our Chhattisgarhi culture and tradition. It is the effort of the state government to accelerate all-round development in the state.
Home and Public Works Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, all the promises have been fulfilled. Plans were made for all sections. For infrastructure development, work on construction of roads, bridges and culverts has been done on a large scale in the last five years. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that the state government did not allow any shortage of funds for development works. He said that the works for which Bhoomi Pujan has been done should be started soon. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria said that the work done by the state government in the last five years has proved to be a milestone for the development of Chhattisgarh. Forest and Environment Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar said that today 6080 works have been inaugurated and Bhoomi Pujan has been done. This proves that the state government did not allow any shortcoming in infrastructure development. He extended his best wishes to the people who will benefit from these development works. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat said that today is a happy day for the people of the state, the development work of Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia also addressed the program.
In the state level programme, 250 works worth Rs 495 crore were completed in Dantewada district, 775 works worth Rs 302 crore in Narayanpur, 49 works worth Rs 37.56 crore in Mohla-Manpur-Chowki, 80 works worth Rs 32 crore in Rajnandgaon, Balod. 620 works worth Rs 424.37 crore in Dhamtari, 895 works worth Rs 211 crore in Dhamtari, 330 works worth Rs 140 crore in Gariaband, 11 works worth Rs 56.86 crore in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 21 works worth Rs 69 crore in Durg district, 695 works worth Rs 385 crore in Raipur district, 83 works worth Rs 145.33 crore in Mahasamund district, 203 works worth Rs 304.49 crore in Bemetra district, 133 works worth Rs 355.5 crore in Kabirdham, 243 works worth Rs 123.53 crore in Mungeli, Gaurela- 83 works worth Rs 44.37 crore in Pendra-Marwahi district, 80 works worth Rs 46.50 crore in Janjgir-Champa district, 194 works worth Rs 280 crore in Sakti,336 works costing Rs 185 crore in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 01 work costing Rs 19 lakh in Kondagaon, 691 works costing Rs 131 crore in Raigarh, 73 works costing Rs 150.51 crore in Korba, 01 work costing Rs 447.38 crore in Jashpur. 906 works, 262 works worth Rs 203.44 crore in Surguja, 259 works worth Rs 734.60 crore in Surajpur, 109 works worth Rs 103.62 crore in Koriya district, 65 works worth Rs 393.22 crore in Balrampur district and 14.50 works worth Rs 393.22 crore in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.
