Raipur: Challan of Rs 29 thousand issued: Bullet rider had burst crackers

Raipur traffic police has taken major action. A fine of Rs 29 thousand has been imposed for firing a bullet after drinking alcohol. Besides, a modified silencer was also installed in the Bullet. The sound of firecrackers used to come from this silencer.

The matter is of Telibandha area. While checking was being done in Mahavir Nagar, Ajit Mahanand of Amlidih was stopped by the police because of the sound of the silencer. During this period, consumption of alcohol was also checked and alcohol was found in the alcometer. Documents could not even be shown during the checking.

According to the information received from the traffic police, on September 21, Telibandha traffic incharge Pramod Singh was on duty at Mahavir Nagar Chowk. Meanwhile, Ajit Mahanand reached there while driving the bullet at high speed. The police stopped him for checking. When the driver was asked for the documents and license of the vehicle, he could not even show any document.

Violations of many rules like driving without a license, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and modified silencer were found. After which a total fine of Rs 29 thousand was imposed on the driver under the Motor Vehicles Act.

When the police stopped Ajit who was driving the Bullet and investigated, it was found that he had also consumed alcohol. This was confirmed in the test using alcometer. In which drug consumption up to 255 mg/100 ml was also found when measured with an alcometer. The young man did not have any documents of any kind including the vehicle documents. After which the police issued a challan against Ajit Mahanand and the Bullet owner. A silencer for bursting firecrackers was installed in the vehicle.

The traffic police has imposed a fine of Rs 17,000 on the driver under other sections including the Motor Vehicle Act. Apart from this, Bullet’s owner Kuber Mahanand has been fined Rs 12,000 for giving the car to an unlicensed holder, without insurance and installing a modified silencer.

The police has appealed to all the drivers to follow the traffic rules. Also, do not drive while intoxicated. This can prove fatal. One month ago, the police had registered an FIR against the youth doing stunts in Nava Raipur. Rakhi and Mandir Hasaud police station surrounded them and caught them. Traffic police had also taken action against this young man who was doing stunts at high speed on VIP Road.
